As part of our project we have researched the different countries that made up the British Empire’s Army and the major religions within these countries.
We have discussed the impact religion could have for both soldiers and their families left at home and focused specifically how Christianity could have positively influenced the lives of believers in the trenches.
We have also designed our own WWI memorials using iconography from different religions, after visiting a local church for inspiration.
