On Friday 2nd October, Cynthia and Sylvia came to visit our school to tell us about their father’s experiences in Albany Military Hospital in WWI. John was injured in the leg loading a train with wood close to the Battle of the Somme. He was a very lucky man, because he was a soldier for the whole 4 years of WWI and he survived the war! He lived until he was 89 and he loved every second of his life! Cynthia told us, that every time he went past our school, he said, “That’s my hospital!”
If you want to know more, please come to our exhibition on the 17th October 2015 (10am-3pm).
