We have researched a lot of information about life at home in WW1. Food was limited and as ships would get bombed it was hard to get hold of foreign foods. The military put out a lot of posters, like “Your country needs you!” in order to get people to join the army. Because of this, a lot of people joined but then realised life in the trenches was awful and wasn’t what they had thought.
